OVERCOME REGRETS

MAIN TEXT: LUKE 15:17 – But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my fathers have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!

MATTHEW 27:5 – And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.

The word “Regret” means to feel sorry about something you have done or about something you have not been able to do. Uncontrollable regrets can lead to depression and suicide. It also makes you to give up on yourself and God as you feel there’s no room for you to fix back your mistakes.

There’s always a time in life one experiences regrets but your attitude towards it determines if you will overcome it. Now, to overcome regret means to admit/accept your mistakes, forgiving yourself for doing it and decide to forge ahead for a better living.

You must admit your wrongs or mistakes. Confess sorry unto God and desire a new beginning. Isaiah 1:18. Keep your mind abreast with God’s word. Psalm 119:11. Don’t remember the things of the past that led to that regret but be optimistic about the future.

Prayer:
Father Help me to let go, situation that caused me regrets in Jesus Name, Amen.
