A FRESH START AND GOD’S BLESSINGS
MAIN TEXT: LUKE 15:18 – I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.
Zechariah 4:10 – whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. “These seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range through the whole earth.
The year has begun and has new things installed for everyone, likewise us who have new goals for the season. In other words, we make a fresh start decisions at every moment. A fresh start covers a lot of things. Here, we must drop those bad characters that hindered us from being successful last year. Just from our text, the prodigal son came back to his senses that the extravagant life he lived ruined his life, hence he decided to return to his father and became loyal. And he was restored back to the track of success in life.
If you must soar higher this year, you must drop those weights of sin you carried last year because you can’t fly being heavy. Hebrew 12:1. Also, we must rechannel our nets into another direction in order to catch bigger fishes (Succeed this season) just like Simon Peter did as he obeyed the instructions of Jesus Christ. Luke 5:4-6.
Moreso, we must get our mind positive through daily studying of God’s word, keeping good company and getting ourselves prepared to met or make use of opportunity that may come our way.
IT IS BETTER TO START AGAIN THAN NEVER TO START
