DOUBLE LIFE DOUBLES YOUR SORROWS
Main Text: Luke 16:13 – No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other, you cannot serve God and mammon.
Proverbs 11:1 – A false balance is an abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is His delight.
Double life means being on the side of God and the devil at the same time. You cannot be neutral with God. For Christians, living a double life means not wanting to give up my Christianity and at the same time not wanting to give up old habits that are contrary to God’s laws.
Living a double life will slow down your progress and destiny. Gehazi’s character limited him. Let people know you in and out as a true child of God and not one with a different character in secret places.
Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked, whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Galatians 6:7). Do away with those little sins you do in secret and think no eye is seeing you. When you live a double life, you double your sorrows because the devil as you know is the accuser of the brethren, looking for every loop hole to block your prayers from being answered and also to make sure you do not succeed despite your labour.
Many brothers and sisters have been in a position for so long without making any head way just because of double life, doors of favor have been shut against many because of double or fake life. Remember, without holiness, no man shall see God.
PUT THE SHAME ON THE DEVIL BY DROPPING THOSE UNWANTED CHARACTERS
