ENEMIES SHALL FLEE
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 44:5,7 ‘’ Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. But you gave us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.’’
‘’I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.’’ Exodus 23:27
Though troubles assail, I shall not tremble; though I may be surrounded by enemies (those who hate me without cause), I shall not be shaken, because,‘he that watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers’ (Psalm 121:4). He is greater than they that are against me. My enemies shall flee’. Your enemies will not flee simply because you said so. They will flee because, there is a force that backs up your declaration.
This force is activated by faith and deep trust in the Almighty God alone. He is a shield and hiding place for those who put their trust in Him. It is possible to answer a Christian and still run from the devil. Worse still, run from human beings, for fear of what you think they might do to you. It takes faith to arouse God to work. For the devil to run from you, he must have sensed a greater power around you and in you.
So, as a Christian, do not live a loose spiritual life. Have a spiritual balance. Build a relationship with your Maker. Make sure you nurture it daily. Through regular study of the scriptures which gives you knowledge, serious prayer life and godly living.
