DON’T LOSE YOUR PEACE
MAIN TEXT: John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled,neither let it be afraid.”
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
The disciples of Jesus Christ were enjoying the peace of being in His presence. In the midst of this peace, their hearts had become troubled and fearful. As they enjoyed fellowship in the upper room, Jesus announced He was leaving them to return to the Father. This news caused them to become fearful and anxious of life without their Good Master.
In a time of great spiritual darkness and confusion caused by sin, God promised to send a light that would shine on everyone living under the shadow of spiritual death. This light is the Peace of the Lord – Jesus Christ. The peace of God is very powerful than the raging and destructive storms of life.
There’s no greater peace than the peace in Christ. There is assurance of it even the crises and storms of life. This Peace is the evidence that God is with us. It creates the conducive environment for miracles. Jesus Christ remains the author of this peace. He left His peace for you – as a kingdom inheritance.
RECEIVE THE PEACE OF THE LORD.
PRAYER: I will not lose my peace. Lord Jesus Christ, give me your peace that stills the storms of life. AMEN
