RECEIVE DIVINE POWER
MAIN TEXT: Acts 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me.”
Joel 2:28 – “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
I believe that outside of the command given by Christ, the most important reason that we need the baptism with the Holy Spirit is for power. Christ said, “You shall receive power.” Power in the Greek is dunamis, which means “miracle-working power,” and means to make possible.
When the Holy Spirit baptized the disciples, No longer were they ignorant and uncultured. No longer were they a collection of independent units or discordant, conflicting elements. No longer were their hopes set on worldly greatness. They were of ‘one accord,’ ‘of one heart and of one soul.’ Acts 2:46; 4:32. Christ filled their thoughts; the advancement of His kingdom was their aim. In mind and character they had become like their Master, and men ‘took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.’ Acts 4:13.”
We cannot have the Holy Spirit without power to change us and command our environment to conform to the will of God the Father. This power is for those who are born again Christians.
POWER IS NOT FOR NOISE BUT FOR THE WORKINGS OF DIVINE MYSTERIES
PRAYER: I release myself for the divine supernatural operations. Holy Spirit baptize me with power in Jesus’ name Amen
