WAITING ON GOD

MAIN TEXT: James 5:7 –
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.

Psalm 27:14 – Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord”.

What we wait for is precious! The ground may be dry now but rain will come. Wait and allow God strengthen your hearts… don’t go into self-pity. Do not have heavy hearts with the difficult times. Let God support your heart do not seek revenge rather let God lift you up!

“He who hurries his footsteps errs” (Proverbs 19:2). One translation here reads, “Impatience will get you into trouble”.
Medical researchers seem to agree with this last proverb. They have discovered a whole new disease called ‘hurry sickness’. Some say that 90 percent of heart attack victims have this ‘hurried’ type of personality. Habitual impatience can adversely affect us in all sorts of ways.

As the year is coming to an end, the devil will succeed in calling some people to a meeting just to frustrate and depress them. All the good and right actions that you took weren’t in vain, in due time you will surely reap in great measure.

IMPATIENCE IS THE DEVIL’S TRAP – OVERCOME IT

PRAYER: God help me to be patient when you seem not to be moving as fast as I desire – help me to avoid the temptation of complaining, or opting for a sinful path because I am frustrated in Jesus name Amen.
