LIVE TO SERVE
MAIN TEXT: 2 Corinthians 12:15 ‘’So I will so very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well.
Galatians 6:2 ‘’Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.’’
You have never started living until you learn and begin to serve others. It is good that you exist but unfortunate, if that is the only thing recorded in your name. To really live, you must be able to impact on others around and within your reach. Service incorporates all that we do to affect people’s lives. Real accomplishment comes, when we spend our lives for other people’s good. Lift your attention from self and center it on adding value to the next person beside you.
Look around you and locate those hurting in one area or the other that you can bless. It is not about how much, but how well. Words of encouragement and comfort can travel a great deal to heal broken hearts. Some people are just going through the passage of time without any relevance to humanity or the kingdom of God. While the bible clearly teaches self-worth, it denounces self-interest. When we obsess about ourselves, we lose the meaning of life which is, to love, serve God and others.
Without commitment and service, our individual lives will be barren and sterile. Without service, our lives will lack meaning and purpose. Jesus taught that the only way to live abundantly is to die to self and give yourself fully to God, and to those who need what God has given you.

PRAYER: Mighty God, help me to be a channel of encouragement to people I come across in any way I can.
