THE WONDERS OF THE GOSPEL
MAIN TEXT: Hebrews 4:6 ‘’For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrows: it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.’’
Romans 1:16 ‘’I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jews, then for the gentiles.’’
The Gospel (bible, scripture, statute, etc.) as God’s inspired word is unique and superior to any book ever written. While other books have limited influence, and impact on their readers because they are written by men, the bible has the power to solve the problems affecting mankind today. Its promises are more reliable than the manifestos of any government. The gospel has not only stood the test of time, but it has also been widely circulated.
Its pages are filled with encouragement, corrections, and instructions in righteousness. It is a life-giving force. The word of God can be different things at different situations. As it cleanses the sinful, regenerates the dead and saves the lost. It is also a devouring flame. When you look at the cross of Jesus, and you read the bible, meditate on what God has done in the past, what He says concerning you in the present and what He says He will do in the future, courage will replace weakness in your heart, and you will conquer everything that has ever conquered you.
The gospel can heal and comfort the broken heart. It produces faith in the heart of believers and imparts eternal life. It empowers the reader who believes its reports and follows the outlined usage. The gospel is pure, perfect, and ageless.
THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE ULTIMATE WONDER IN THE WORLD
