GROW IN FAITH
MAIN TEXT—LUKE 17:5-6
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Romans 10:17—So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Faith is acceptance of Christ’s Lordship. Faith is the bedrock of Christianity. It is also the relationship we have with God through what Jesus accomplished in His death and resurrection. Paul needed to grow in his knowledge of God that he said,” that I may know him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering”. Grow in your relationship with God by coming closer.
Be part of the work of God. Don’t warm the seats, but be active in the services to God. Decide today to be involved. If faith comes by hearing the word of God, when we hear more of the corrupt words, it creates doubt and unbelieving heart. When we keep receiving discouraging words, it attacks our faith. God will come and live with you when you come closer to Him.
We can get strengthened by studying the Holy Bible. Anytime we hear or study His words, we feed on faith. We grow in faith by the hearing of the word of God. How much of God’s word in you determines your strength. Your faith desires to make plain the high mountains of life, but you need to feed it and let it grow.
REGULARLY FEED YOUR SPIRIT WITH SOUND DOCTRINE OF GOD’S WORD.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, increase my faith. Give me the mountain-moving faith, I receive the right words against fear in Jesus’ name, Amen.
