CHARGES DROPPED; CASE DISMISSED

MAIN TEXT: Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”

No matter how terrible Satan the tempter wants you to feel about your past or present moment, don’t lose the truth that Jesus died for that sin. Some have committed suicide or chosen a destructive lifestyle to condemn themselves, but see Romans 3:24; Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.

When we receive God’s compassion and mercy, our response should be to stop doing what caused us to sin in the first place. Mercy is not an encouragement to sin even more; it is a reason to live righteously for God’s kingdom! In John 8:11-12, She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” Notice that Jesus charged her to sin no more by abandoning the lifestyle that leads to sin.

Now, Let Him have your sins and weaknesses – and accept his forgiveness and life. Anyone who comes to God and trusts Christ for salvation will be justified.

BELIEVE IN CHRIST AND YOU WILL FORSAKE THE WRONG PATHS

PRAYER: O God, have mercy on me and forgive me, give me power over sin, evil, and the tempter. Let the mysteries of your death and resurrection work for me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
