GOD’S WORD IS THE COMPASS
MAIN TEXT: Lamentations 3:40 Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!
Psalm 43:3—Give me your lantern and compass, give me a map, So I can find my way to the sacred mountain, to the place of your presence.
God’s Word is like a navigation system that helps us to see where we took the wrong turn. So, God’s Word reproves us. It shows us how we can get back on the right track. So, it corrects us. Also, God’s Word helps us to stay on course and not get lost in this life and afterlife. Therefore, it instructs us in righteousness. There are people who use the direction of the crowd as their compass, they move wherever they see others moving. Jump into a business and jump out the same way.
Unfortunately, our culture recently goes for speed than direction. Occasionally we need to ask ourselves whether God is with us on that path and enterprise we are zealously pursuing. It’s disastrous living an unexamined life. Get on to the weighing scale and know the unwanted weights to put off—God’s word does this work perfectly.
There’s a destiny road map for everyone, and making God’s word our compass will help us to live fulfilled. We cannot keep trying every road. Many are pathetically lost unaware. God is ready and patiently waiting for anyone who can follow Him.
FOLLOW THE WAY MAKER
PRAYER: Take the lead, Lord Jesus Christ, let every step I make be according to what my destiny road map bears. Restore me, if I have gone astray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
