CONFRONT YOUR FEAR

CONFRONT YOUR FEAR

Main Text: Psalm 23:4 (KJV)

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, “I will fear no evil: “for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me;”.

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

This Psalm of David reflected his defeat of Goliath in 1st Samuel 17 vs 1 – end. Israel was under the threat, and terror of Goliath of Gath, until David the anointed of God showed up. Goliath boasted to deal with David. 1st Samuel 17:44 “And the Philistine said to David, come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the beasts of the field”.

Ordinarily with this threat from an experienced warrior like Goliath, David would have been intimidated to succumb to fear which is a torment. Bur rather David by his experience with a bear, he tore with his bare hands realized that the same God can use him to defeat Goliath and which he did. This gave him
courage to confront Goliath. 1st Samuel 17:45 “Then said David to the Philistine, thou come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield, but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of host, the God of the Armies of Israel, whom thou has defiled”. You and I know what became of Goliath. The Lord would want us to confront our fears today.

FACE THAT CHALLENGE SQUARELY IN THE NAME OF THE LORD TODAY.

Prayer Point: My Father, My Father, give me the courage to confront my fears today in Jesus Name.
