Angels on Duty
Main Text: Psalm 91:11-12 “For He will command His angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you
strike your foot against a stone”.
Hebrew 1:14- Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation”
In scripture, we are told that angels have many roles. In view of this, Talmud has this to say, “Every blade of grass has an angel that bends over it and whispers, „Grow! Grow!.”. Also from the scripture we learnt that these angels are spirits that were sent forth to minister to us accordingly. They have various duties such as, battle fighters, watchers, revealers, praise givers and worshippers to God.
Martin Luther added that “you should be certain that there angels protecting you also in your business, whether you enter or leave your home”. Wow! This is
amazing! What a great privilege! Jesus tells us that every child has an angel that beholds the face of their heavenly Father Mathew 18:10. What a great love. Remember, angels are not God, they are not meant to be worshipped but to serve you. Don.t offend them. As you can see, God offers His pure and selfless love through His angels. It is very sad that God has given His angels charge over us, yet we do not know the weapon in our disposal.
We can as well send them on assignment using the word of God and the name of Jesus Christ.
