Growing through Life’s Tests

Growing through Life’s Tests

Main Text: 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient
for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore
will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon
me”.

1 Peter 4:12 – “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you unto”.

Imagine you study in a school year after year, but there are no exams! Nothing to test you. Initially you may love it, but soon you would get bored. Life puts you through several hard tests. A smooth life journey is basically hypothetical. We experience times of adversity in our life time. As the saying goes, “what does not kill us, make us stronger”. A breakthrough requires a trial to breakthrough. Through such tests we will be surprised to wake up one day and suddenly become mature Christian, so in order to grow in God; we will have to go through trials.

There is no other way to grow strong spiritually than to go through trials; see 1
Peter 5:10. Similarly, James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the Crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. The above scripture makes clear that you don.t get the reward until you have preserved under trial and stood the test.

Therefore beloved, in this second half of the year, learn to be thankful in your trials because for your breakthrough you need to breakthrough. In conclusion, “No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted”, Elder Orson F. Whitney.

TRIALS ARE EFFECTIVE CATALYTS FOR CHANGE!
