GOD FULFILLS PROMISES
MAIN TEXT: Ezekiel 12:28
“Therefore say to them, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer, whatever I say I will fulfill, declares the Sovereign LORD. (NIV)

I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered. (NIV)
A promise is to commit to something or action, make a vow, an oath or affirmation. When God makes a promise, he is committed to it because his promise is his word. He said in Isaiah 55:11 that his words will not return to him void until it fulfills the purpose for which he has sent it out. God’s words are fulfilled with promises.
In the Garden of Eden, God promised Adam a help meet fit for him and he fulfilled it in Eve. He promised the devil in Eden that there would be great enmity between his seed and that of the woman and that her seed will bruise his head and he fulfilled it in Christ Jesus.
God promised Abraham a land flowing with milk and honey, a son and descendants like the sand on the sea shore and he fulfilled this by giving him the land of Canaan, Isaac and today Abraham’s children are uncomfortable. God promised mankind a messiah and fulfilled this in his son Jesus our Saviour. His words are treasures for us. As you know, treasures are not kept in the open, they are safeguarded somewhere. His promises for you are too many in the scripture .It is your responsibility to search them out. He can make promise(s) to you through his servant or even direct to you. You can count on
him to fulfill his promise(s). He has promised heaven for those who love and keep his commandments. God does not lie or the son of man that he should repent, he is an honourable God. He said that he honours his words more than his name. Peradventure you have never loved God or you loved him before, you still have the opportunity today to reconcile with this promise keeping God who did it for the woman caught in the very act and Peter when he denied Jesus, so that his promise for those who hate him (eternal condemnation) will not be your lot. Therefore, endeavor to emulate God in keeping promises to him and men.
