ENEMIES OF PRAISE
MAIN TEXT: 2 Samuel 6: 20

When God is praised, he releases unlimited favour and blessing to his children because He loves and inhabits in the praises of his people. Our arch enemy, the devil knows this and deploys enemies in our lives to stop us from praising God to avoid our being blessed.
Sin can lead to condemnation. Even when God has graciously forgiven all your
sins, you still don’t seem to forgive yourself or believe that can ever forgive you. You look at the magnitude of sin and feel guilty and worthless. Pride is an enemy that makes you to be concerned with self-image and maintaining good reputation.
Having a wrong perception of God is a barrier to praising him. When God is
seen as wicked, a killer, difficult to please or always finding fault so as to condemn etc, you cannot praise God. You must study the word of God to understand that God is a good and compassionate God.
Satanic oppression is used by the devil to discourage and suppress people
from praising God. Religious tradition is an enemy where some Christian tradition condemns worship and praise saying they are mere manifestation of emotions, thereby making it impossible to praise God. Fear of man, his thought and opinion is a trap that imprisons you from praising God.
Having known these enemies today, determine to fight them through prayer
and constant study of the word of God and they will flee.
FIGHT THE ENEMIES OF YOUR LIFE AND BE AT PEACE WITH GOD
