Galatians 5:24 – Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Human beings were created by God with a spirit, soul and body. The spirit is the immaterial part of humanity that connects man with God who is a spirit Himself(John 4:24). Our spirits contain the inner man where the spirit of God communes with us while the body- the outer man is our physical housing
through which we experience the world. So we encounter the world through the physical man while we encounter God through our spirit man.
There is no gainsaying the fact that humans pay more attention and enrich the physical than the spirit man. This is the reason for this call to enrich our spirit. The real poverty is the man whose spirit is poor. Today’s topic is calling us to begin a conscious work to enrich our spirit. We can achieve this through
constant prayers and daily fellowship with the Holy Scripture, for in it lies the food for the spirit man. The fruit of the Holy Spirit comes from abiding on the word of God and the Holy Spirit.
If your wealth and vitality only has physical values without spiritual values then you are poor and enlisted for destruction
