A KNOWING
MAIN TEXT: JOHN 18:4: Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want
Ephesians 1:17: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
A knowing is a sensing, a deep understanding and affirmation that makes you know what to do. It is the feeling you get when you are sure of something.
It is an assurance in your spirit man. Jesus displaced this in our bible reading today. He knew what was about to happen and how it will happen. He knew what is happening must take place for His purpose to be fulfilled. You need this knowing to confirm why you are on earth, i.e your purpose. You need it to fulfill this purpose and live your life without struggle. Knowing gives direction, ease and speed. Who gives this knowing? It is the Holy Spirit.
The spirit of God that has been given to us by our father to teach us all things and to guild us into all truth. The deeper your relationship with Him, the better your antenna of knowing, the closer you walk with Him, the better for you. When your communication with the Holy Spirit is consistent and deep, you enjoy this knowing and you are never misguided.
You get this knowing by groaning in the place of prayer, studying of God’s word, listening to the Holy Spirit and obeying whatever instruction He is giving you.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
Prayer: father open my eyes to see those things which are meant unto my peace, but are hidden from my eyes.
