YOU ARE DEFINED BY YOUR LIFESTYLE

Main Text: Ecclesiastics 10:3
”Yea, also when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to everyone that he is a fool”.

1 Timothy 4:12 – Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity in spirit in faith in purity”.

Over the course of our lives, each person’s identity is being formed and shaped through individual experiences, relationships, culture, media and the world around us. We are constantly seeking to define who we are in any way we can.

Everything about us is sending a message to others about our level of intensity as well (see our main text Eccl.10:3). Hence, if we lived out our lives based on how God sees us, we would no longer feel the need to find our worth in our external circumstances.

Although it is a battle as we live in a world that seeks to define us by its standard, yet true Disciples of Christ are expected to demonstrate the love of Christ to others through a changed life that makes the Christian lifestyle and message attractive.

Listen to Joyce Meyer, “Christianity is a lifestyle and being a Christian is more than a label”. And Quinton Aaron concludes with this saying”, I feel like if I like the Christian life, then people should be able to see it in my everyday action.
