WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

Main Text: 2 Peter 3:13 ‘But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

2 Peter 3:14 ‘So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him”.

Where are you going? This is a question that everyone must give answer to .For you to really answer this question, you must know who you are. Has your name been written in the Lamb’s book of life? Are you a child of God? Knowledge of where you are going will ultimately help you to prepare adequately. That is, the things you need to get in terms of time, money, clothing and other necessities.

In this life we are in a journey. We are sojourner, transiting from the earth to either of two places- Heaven or hell. Hell is a place of eternal punishment. It is prepared for those who hate God in this life. On the other hand, heaven is God’s abode. It is built for those who lived right with God while on earth. Your choice will tell you how to live. That is how you prepare for your destination.

Heaven is a beautiful place prepared for the children of God who remained steadfast to the end. No one stumbles or bribes his way into it. You don’t mistakenly enter. When you know where you are going, your heart is filled with expectation because of what you will receive there.

Talking about preparation- you must be found spotless, blameless and at peace with God. You must boldly receive Christ as your personal Lord and savior and begin today as you read this piece to live according to heavenly principles. It is real. It is accessible.

“WHEN YOU CHOOSE CHRIST, YOU HAVE CHOSEN LIFE”

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to run this heavenly race well enough to obtain a place in your kingdom.
