PEACE PERFECT PEACE
Main Text: 2 Thessalonians 3:16 – Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
John 14:27 – I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
Peace can be defined as freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, and obsession. It can also be defined to be a state of contentment and calm.
Now it’s not easy to have peace in this world as there are a million distractions in the world screaming for your attention but God promises us peace.
He said he will give us peace at all times and in every situation, what other promise can be better than this? Since our God is a perfect God, all his gifts are perfect so it wouldn’t be a mistake to say that God gives perfect Peace.
Peace cannot be obtainable when we focus on the wrong things. You can’t be yearning for peace and getting worried over the cares of life. God said cast your burdens unto me, just drop all that weight at the foot of the cross and embrace his peace.
He said in Isaiah 26:3 that He will keep in perfect peace all who trust in him, all whose thoughts are fixed on him. In other words let God be your focus as you go through this life because truthfully life isn’t easy and it’s only in Christ we can have genuine peace. So look up to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith and see his peace envelope you irrespective of the unpleasant circumstances surrounding you.
PERFECT PEACE IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD OF CHAOS WITHOUT JESUS.
Prayer: Abba Father, please help me to always remember that you’ve got everything under control so i can enjoy the perfect peace you give.
