WHAT IS YOUR DOMINANT THOUGHT?
Main Text: Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”.
Romans 7:24…” O wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body of death?
At the core of every human decision is a motivation. Some people are motivated by the quest for pleasure or money. Some center their entire lives on a goal, a job, or even their families. These things are not wrong in themselves; however, that which you center your life on forms your dominant thought. The human heart was designed for worship, and if it does not worship God, it will worship something else.
Worship is measured by the amount of time, money and emotional energy expended. What occupies your heart can be measured by the level of passionate commitment it evokes in you. You talk, think and dream about it, and people who know you best usually know where your heart is because it is hard to hide and your centers on it.
The Christ dominated heart is love centered, whose ultimate aim is to glorify God. He rests on the finished work of Jesus on his behalf and yearns for holiness as a means of staying close to Him. Such a heart avoids Satan’s trap and worldly entanglements because he evaluates his choices.
LET YOUR HEART CENTER ON CHRIST, LET OTHER THINGS REVOLVE AROUND HIM
Prayer: Lord grant me that heart in which every desire is holy Jesus name.
