GOD’S GREATEST GIFT

GOD’S GREATEST GIFT

MAIN TEXT: JOHN 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 3:25 – God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.

Life, air, money and all other good things of life are gifts from God. But, there is still one and it is the greatest that man has and will ever receive from God. Jesus through whom we have salvation, the redemption of our souls from eternal damnation. This gift was prompted by God’s unfathomable and boundless love for mankind. Although our sin was so grievous that it attracted eternal judgment. God could not bear to see us suffer such fate so in his infinite love, he provided a remedy for our sin and an escape route from its consequences. God had to send his one and only begotten son Jesus Christ to take our place and suffer the consequence of our sin. it is the greatest act of love and mercy.

Through Christ death, God made a generous offer of life and salvation to a rebellious world. God made a fair proposal that whosoever will believe in Jesus – plead for their sin, repent of them and return their allegiance to God would not perish but have eternal life. He’s willing to forgive every penitent sinner that comes to him for forgiveness. Today, God will forgive your transgressions, obliterate the record of your past sins and remember them no more. Isaiah 43:25. When he is done pardoning your sins, he continuously loads you with his blessings of redemption which include sanctification, baptism of the holy spirit, divine protection, providence as well as answers to prayers.

WHEN WE RECEIVE CHRIST,WE RECEIVE THE GREATEST BLESSING.

Prayer Point: O Lord, may nothing take away my salvation in Jesus name.
