MONEY AS A MESSENGER 1

MAIN TEXT: Malachi 3:10 – Bring all the tithes into my house…if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out the blessing.

Matthew 6:4 – Your charity deed may be in secret and your Father who sees in spirit will reward you openly.

A messenger is one who brings and delivers messages, money as a messenger means that money delivers and brings messages both physical and spiritual. When we talk about money, we mean physical cash and anything money can buy. Money has economic, socio- political and spiritual powers. The bearer of money determines the usefulness of it. Money is a medium of exchange. It can speak, create and open channels of communication. It is used to honor and appreciate God.

The bible clearly shows the role of money plays as a messenger and the best and beneficial ways of using money. One of the beneficial ways of using money is by using it to serve the Lord, giving it willingly and generously for the work of the Kingdom – Acts 4:36. Giving to the work of God is a heavenly investment which attracts rewards, blessings, protection, security, settlement, and favor.

Money is created by men and for men, it is not made for the destruction of man and let no man bow to it because the power that money has is that given to it by man. In essence, money is not supreme but it is manipulated by man for the use of man. Charity should be seen in our giving and help, we should not withhold our hands from giving.

GIVE AND KEEP MONEY THE POSITION OF SERVANT AND NOT MASTER

PRAYER – Money shall serve me well all the days of my life in Jesus name.
