NO MORE SELF PITY

Main text: 1 Corinthians 15:58 – Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

Psalm 37:3 – Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness.

Any moment we begin to feel self pity, it shows a lack of trust in God. As we lose trust in God, we begin to compare ourselves with the lives of others around us and immediately, the devil will possess our minds to begin to regret and become depressed.

A lot of people have fallen away from their faith because of self pity and they resolved to help themselves without God. Paul writing to the Corinthian church saw that they were almost losing their trust in God, told them that they should remain steadfast without wavering in the face of challenges like delay and disappointment. He reminded us that God must reward His workers of their labours.

We must lay aside the weight of self pity to move on in the path prepared for us by God. Even if we have suffered a true injustice or other evil we must not remain there and keep counting the losses or our enemy but to dust ourselves and reach forth to other opportunities of life.

FIND A PLACE IN YOUR HEART AND HIDE THIS: ‘GOD DOES NOT OWE ANYBODY’.

Prayer Point: I refuse to settle at the places I received wounds, losses or rejections. I am a success in Jesus name.
