SET GOALS AND PURSUE THEM

Main text: 1 Corinthians 9:24 – Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain.

1 Corinthians 9:26 – I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air

In a racing competition, not all competitors receive the medal. The swiftest does not always win the race but the person that prepared to finish well and best. Moving forward without seeking God or sitting back and doing nothing can stem from fear or a lack of faith.

However, setting goals and consulting with Him shows that you trust Him and believe that He is able to lead you while you are moving forward. Proverbs 16:3 says commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans. First, desire it and just like Joseph dream about it, this keeps your hope alive and share the vision with the right persons. Follow up a plan of accomplishment and work the plan as a disciplined goal pursuer.

Finally, commit every bit to God. As you progress in your purpose, keep the connection wire with God, be attentive to all signs He provides along the way and listen to Him speak to you through His word and the Holy Spirit. Then, you can be confident that He will show you when you are in and out of His will.

WORK DILIGENTLY WITH GOD IN HOPES OF ACHIEVING OUR GOALS

Prayer Point: O Lord, I commit my plans into your hands. Help me to successfully fulfil my divine destiny in Jesus’ name.
