Main text: 1 Timothy 6:17 – Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not high-minded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
ISAIAH 63:7 – I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
Wealth can be defined as the blessings of God unto mankind spurred by His mercy and Undying unconditional love. Also it is the ability to live the kind of life that makes you happy. Hence, it is life satisfaction. . It is only God that can give you a peaceful long lasting wealth.God is the owner of our wealth and we are the caretakers. It’s only a fool that forgets that he came into this world empty handed and will go same way.
The quest for wealth by men has made so many to trade on the path of darkness as the do the unheard-of or obnoxious acts in other to satisfy their inordinate desires. Where did your wealth come from? Is God the source of your wealth?Do you know that your life is the most indispensable wealth you can ever desire to get because a healthy man is a wealthy man? God is that ‘abundant life’, John 10:10b – I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Finally, God blesses us with wealth in other for us to bless others. Any man who fails to attribute the source of His wealth to God, brings condemnation unto himself just like the ‘The Rich Fool’ in the bible (Luke 16:16-20).
