GO IN PEACE

Main text: Colossians 3: 15 – And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Hebrews 12:14 – Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord

The word ‘Peace’ can be defined as a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relations. It is also be an act of avoiding troubles in your dealings with people you come across with in life. Peace is one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, Gala tins 5: 22. And we are identified as Children of God when we pursue after it. Mathew 5: 9.

In your journey of life, it is one of the most indispensable tools one must carry in other to successfully reach your destination in life. Man is a very challenging creature to neither please nor live with but today, we are encouraged to try our best to follow peace with all men.Our Lord Jesus Christ was a typical example of a man that pursued peace during His Journey on earth. That enabled Him to die at the cross of Calvary to reconcile us back to God.

We are also called into the same Ministry of reconciliation through His grace. Are you a peace maker or the kind of person that scatter people’s relationship each time you show up? A man of peace is a man with soothing words, patience, tolerance and wisdom in his journey of reconciliation with men. Genesis 33:10-11.

Finally, we need the peace the Holy Spirit gives which supersedes the one the world can  give to sail through, amidst of troubled situations that may confront our life. EPHESIANS 4: 3, Philippians 4:7.
