TAKE RESPONSIBILITY 1

Main Text: Romans 14:12 – So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Luke 15:21 – And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

Many of us are in the habit of shifting blame to others. They specialize in blaming others but themselves for their actions or mistakes when things don’t go their way. Imagine you wanting to be in a service unit in the church or wanting to start your business but you keep procrastinating or forming excuses not to move forward rather you shift the blame to something else.

The problem with blame shifting is that is stops you from taking constructive actions and moving on with your life.Excuses are there to give you a lot of reasons why you shouldn’t move forward. Taking responsibility for what is happening in your life is the first step to moving forward. It helps you to weigh your action and options before you carry them out. Responsibility can also read as response-ability which means the ability to respond.

From our main text, we can see that we all have the responsibility of accounting our activities to God. Therefore, whatever responsibility the Lord has led in your hands to do, you do it knowing that there is a day to render accounts to Him. There is a feeling of joy that comes with stepping out in faith believing that God will direct your next step towards actualizing your responsibility.

Taking responsibility brings you into consciousness of consequences  of when things go right or wrong.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY MINIMIZES THE CHANCES OF FAILURE.

Prayer: Lord, by your grace, I pray that whatever you commit into my hands shall not suffer
