Main Text: Exodus 33:17 – The Lord said to Moses, I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favour in my sight and I have known you by name.
John 10:14 – I am the good shepherd and I know my own and my own knows me.
God gave Moses a special kind of favour to do what he requested. But what gave Moses such favour? Moses was a man who had the opportunity to rebel against God and his people as the revered prince of Egypt but he sacrificed all these to serve God, the only true God. This is love and uncommon faithfulness to God. A faithful lover of God attracts a special favour of God.
He takes your matter personally until He sees that you are highly honoured. Jesus teaching said that as a good shepherd, He knows his sheep and they know him too. We can see a symbiotic relationship here. A kind of divine family is established. Indeed, God knows everybody, dead and alive but there are these people that God will go the extra way to see that they do not end in shame.
Our depth of relationship and worship to God distinguishes us from the rest of the world. Can God trust you with the lives of people around you and you lead them from in the way of God even when you are controlling power and influence?
TAKE GOD PERSONAL AND SEE HE WILL JEALOUSY BE YOUR GOD.
Prayer – Spirit of God, keep me in the sheepfold of God and let my issues receive divine and unique attention from now.
