BE UPRIGHT IN EVERY WAY

Main text: Psalm 84:11b- No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Isaiah 57:2: He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

Being upright means having high moral standards in all areas of life. It signifies plainness of heart, without collusion or double dealing. We are encouraged to be upright in every way. Better have God’s approbation than the world’s acclamation. The plainer the diamond is, the richer; which means that the plainer the heart is, the more it shines in God’s eyes. Upright in heart, is the heart which God calls for, (Proverbs 23:26). If the heart is for God, then our tears, alms and all is for God. 

In Isaiah 26:7, we read that one of God’s titles is ‘upright’. Isaiah says, “The path of the righteous is level. O upright one, you make the way of the righteous smooth”. God is upright and we are told in the scripture that He has pleasure in uprightness. 
When you are upright in all your ways, there is a special closeness of God you will always enjoy.

God delights in them that are upright and watches over them. God will always defend and save you whenever you call to Him. You will see yourself prospering in everything you do both in your business and in your academics and then you will dwell forever with God and delight yourselves in abundance of peace.

GOD HOLDS VICTORY FOR THE UPRIGHT AND PROTECTS THE WAY OF THE FAITHFUL

Prayer: Father, grant me the grace to live uprightly in all my ways.
