PRAY IT THROUGH

PRAY IT THROUGH

Main text: Ephesians 6:18 – With all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

James 5:17 – Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months.

So many people are praying but few are able to pray into His glory and divine will; though sometimes, it is hard to see and understand what God is doing and why the answer to deepest longing are taking so long – we think, this the hardest work God has to offer. Like a miner, prayer is a daily digging until there is breakthrough to what we seek. The miner may in the process of digging, grows tired and weary sometimes but, He continues until the desired goal is achieved.

Most times, we pray a quick prayer and get answers and there are other times when quick prayer doesn’t produce the expected result. In those times, we are expected to keeping telling God about it through prayer until we see a change. Some examples of such times in the bible are: Jesus Christ in the garden of Gethsemane, Hannah at Shiloh. Other examples of such: the global health crises, choice of marriage partner, career etc.

According to James 5:16b – ‘The effective fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much ‘. A fervent praying soul does not take no for an answer – Just like in the parable of the persistent widow that drove the judge crazy with her relentless request. Your jubilee is almost here but you must pray passionately about whatever you are seeking from God.

PRAY UNTIL THE HAND OF GOD IS MOVED

Prayer: Oh! God my father, release afresh the grace of fervent praying upon my life in Jesus name.
