EYES HAVEN’T SEEN
Main text: 2Corinthians 2: 9 – 10 (NIV) – However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Isaiah 64:4 – For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God besides thee, who worketh for him that waiteth for him.
Paul speaking to the Corinthians in today’s passage talked about the mystery of God, the secret wisdom and glory that God had destined for His people. He was telling the Corinthians that no eye has seen or ear heard what the Lord has in store for His people. He went further in verse 10 by saying, it has been revealed (those things that eye has not seen, ear has not heard, that which has not been conceived by any mind) to us by the Spirit of God. Wow! What a great revelation and a truth that sets free.
This implies as children of God, we should not live our lives on guesses. We should not live like those that don’t know tomorrow because we have the Spirit of God, the revealer of truth in us. There is an identity, a gift, an abundant life here on earth and an eternal hope for as many that have come to love God and wait on Him.
Deep and unsearchable things that human wisdom and spirit cannot comprehend, promises and sure word of God we can lay hold of.
We are of the generation that knows the mind of God and we can never be stranded because we have His Spirit to teach us all things. We have His word to guard and establish us in the land of the living. We have a future hope, a life after death, eternity.
Thus we should not be moved by the things going on around us. We should not be ruffed, rather we should keep pressing on, living our lives according to the pattern of the kingdom of God and not this world knowing fully all things works together for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose(Romans 8:28).
GOD BLESSES US WITH CUSTOMISED BLESSINGS THAT ARE UNADULTRATED
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to live my life fully in the knowledge of your Spirit and what you has in store for me.
