AVOID DREAM KILLERS

Main text: Genesis 37: 4- 5 (NIV) – When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. Joseph had a dream and when he told it to his brothers; they hated him all the more.

John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Every man is born with dreams and aspirations. God created man with a purpose and He expects every man to fulfill this purpose. On the other hand, the devil goes about looking for whose dream to destroy. He does not want anyone to be on the Lord’s side. He doesn’t want anyone fulfilling their God giving purpose.

As individuals, we must know there are people out there waiting for our downfall, planning our downfall, looking for a way to execute their plans. Joseph knew his brothers hated him yet he told them his dreams. You must be careful of those you share your life dreams and purpose with. There are people that are tools in devil’s hand. Their work is to derail you, or slow you down from achieving your dreams. Joseph’s brothers thought to kill him so his dream won’t come to pass.

Never be quick and over joyous in dishing out information about who you are meant to be. Watch out for wolves in sheep clothing, beware of joy killers. They can be anything but happy that you are doing well. Avoid them like a plague. Walk closely with the Holy Spirit to direct your path to people that would carry your dreams like theirs.

Dream killers do not have any other purpose than to drag you to the pit. Never give in to them! Be wise to avoid them in life and most importantly, guard your heart and mouth for out of these two flows out information.

BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT WHO YOU SHARE YOUR DREAMS WITH

Prayers: Lord, I receive discerning spirit to know those that are out to kill my dreams. I prayer that my dreams shall come to pass and I shall fulfill purpose
