CAST OFF THE TROUBLES

Main text: Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Matthew 11:28-29 -Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

When troubles mount and pain increases, followers of Christ sometimes feel that they’ve being left to fight the battle alone. It can seem as though no one cares whether we are suffering or not; whether we fail. And indeed, in the most intense moments of anguish, we may be almost beyond human help. But we can take comfort and be encouraged by the sure, undeniable truth that God cares. The promise is clearly given in this wonderful verse: casting all your care upon him, for He cares for you. (1Peter 5:7)

Life has its ups and downs, its highs and lows. At one time or another, every man or woman face severe trials. Even the Christian in his prosperous state cannot escape the testing and tribulations, the pains and pressures that are common to us all.

Although afflictions cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; yet man is born unto trouble, as the Sparks fly upward (Job 5:6-7). Man’s trails are not simple natural phenomena. Nothing occurs that is outside of the Creator’s knowledge and purpose. Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of troubles.

Trouble seems to just be part of life. We are troubled by the big and the little things, but Jesus tells us not to let out hearts be troubles by relying on the Holy Spirit to teach us peace when out heart feels troubled, pray constantly and use the scripture to remind your heart of God’s promises to us and leave the rest to Him to take control.

Good ever cares, not only in life’s summer, when skies are bright and days are long and glad. He cares as much when life is draped in whiter, and heart feels so bereft and sad.

LEARN TO CAST YOUR BURDEN AT HIS FEET, FOR HE CARES

Prayer point: Lord Jesus, I lay all my challenges at your feet today. Deliver me from them all as I put my trust in you. Amen
