BORN AGAIN; THE GREATEST BLESSING
Main text: Romans 10:9-10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5 – Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
To be born again means to believe in Jesus and His finished work in your heart and then confess Him as your Lord and Saviour with your mouth. When you do this, instantly, you receive God’s complete forgiveness of all your sins.
The moment you get born again, you become the temple of God, and that’s why you’re indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1 remind us, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Being a born again opens you up to countless blessings. You are assured of your salvation – there is full assurance that Christ has come into your life. Your sins have been forgiven and that you have eternal life.
Secondly, you are a new creation and have a new life in Christ. Like a new-born baby, you will have to grow and learn a lot about this new life though. You have a relationship that will continue the rest of your life.
Thirdly, you enjoy the privilege of prayer – You can now talk to God as one would a friend. The good thing about this is that your friend (God) talks back and answers your requests. We are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace.
Fourthly, the same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave lives inside of you so you can work greater miracles than Jesus did in his lifetime. There is not limitation in Jesus as nothing is impossible for him to do. We could keep going as the list is endless but of a fact there is no greater blessing than this.
BEING BORN AGAIN IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL TIME.
