TRUST GOD ABSOLUTELY

TRUST GOD ABSOLUTELY

Main text: Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Psalm 37:5 – Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

To trust in God means to have absolute confidence that God will not disappoint you. Trusting in God is not the absence of fear but the presence of reassuring belief that all shall be well. When we exercise trust in God, our actions carries the message and not just by confessing it. In our walk with God, God expects of his children to walk with absolute reliance on him.

Remember, scripture tells us that God is a jealous God that is, He will not share His glory with anyone thing or being. Trust and faith work together as one. In the account of Jesus Christ with Peter walking on water, Peter would have stayed on the water but unbelief took him under the water (he sunk).

In order to stay above your enemies and on top of your game, it demands complete trust on God. Our main text urges us to commit all our endeavours in God’s hand because only in him we get the best. Our second text tells us that we shall have a fruitful and undeserving end when we trust wholly on God.

In the story of David and Goliath in 1Samuel 17, God was with David that he was able to defeat the enemy of Israel – the philistine, Goliath. God saw his heart of absolute trust in Him and fought a war with sling and a stone. Is trust in God worth it? Yes, it is.
