THE POWER IN COMMUNION
Main text: 1 Corinthians 11:24- 25–And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, this is my body which is for you, do this in Remembrance of me. in the same way, after supper he took the cup saying,this cup is the new covenant in my blood, do this, whenever you drink it in remembrance of me.
John 6:56 – Whosoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in them.
Maybe you have a health report that is giving you worries. Have they said that you have a chronic or incurable sickness? With all due respect for doctors and medical science, it is God who has the final say over everybody and every issue. There is hope for you. Just as disease and death came through the eating of a forbidden tree in Garden of Eden, God has ordained another act of eating to restore the health and wholeness of the body.
The Holy Communion is expression of God’s love for his people and it brings us to be partakers of the divinity of God. It is a proven truth that the Holy Communion is a spiritual immunisation against all manners of diseases. It works for the believer. There are two major component elements in the communion which are bread and the wine –The bread represents the body of Christ and the wine speaks of the blood of Jesus Christ which marks the new covenant in Him.
The communion should be taken with gratitude to God in faith and holiness. It has the ability to heal diseases, gives protection, gives life, gives spiritual revival and cleanses us from all sin. Spiritually, we are warned not take it unholy or carelessly to prevent harming ourselves – 1 Corinthians 11:30.
THE HOLY COMMUNION TRULY ENABLES US MANIFEST DIVINE NATURE OF GOD
Prayer: In Jesus name, let the true nature of God manifest more in my life. Grant me the grace of oneness with Christ.
