POSSESS A LIVELY CONSCIENCE

POSSESS A LIVELY CONSCIENCE

Main text –Hebrews 10:12 –Let us draw nearer to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

1 Timothy 1:19 – Holding onto faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.

Do you have a lively or dead conscience? Do you possess a guilty or free conscience? Apostle Paul charged his spiritual son, Timothy to hold on to faith and also a good conscience. Living with faith without a good conscience is self deceit. A lively and good conscience is a check to us regarding our relationship with God and man.

We cannot be good Christians without a good conscience no matter the seriousness of our zeal in service to God. There is no way we can perpetually hurt people and claim to know God. If we offend God or man and do not feel remorseful or repent then, our conscience is not lively. Rejecting to recognise the importance of a good conscience as a Christian will definitely cause disaster in our faith walk with God.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart so that, we can be purified from a guilty conscience. This is a call of urgency to the humble. God made demand that you go and make a physical apology of settlement with those you have hurt. Please, shun pride and obey God.

EXAMINE YOUR CONSCIENCE AND ALLOW GOD DO HIS BEST IN YOU

Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me a heart of peace, a good conscience and give me the grace to obey you at all times.
