RECHARGE YOUR SPIRIT
Main text: Psalm 119:37 – Turn my eyes away from worthless things, preserve my life according to your word.
Galatians 5:16 – I say then: walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
The man of God, King David said a powerful word to God in Psalm 121:2, ‘ My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth’. There is great strengthening from God if we truly connect to him. A vehicle can be built to the taste and on strong but it needs energy – fuel to function appropriately. It is the Lord that makes our feet like hind’s feet so that we can be strong and leap over troubles.
Focusing on worthless things has the ability to drain our spiritual batteries and energy. Samson left his assignment and focused on Delilah who was a distraction for him then, he lost it. Turning our eyes away from distraction is our responsibility if we desire to live fulfilled. The spirits cannot be recharged when we are deeply involved with distractions – Things of no value.
A continuous walk in the spirit fuels our spirit. It ignites spiritual fire that burns away ‘fats’ that weigh us down.The fire empowers us for service and relevance. A continuous walk with God has a way of keeping the fire in us burning. Follow God and abide in him daily.
THERE IS NO GRADUATION IN THE SPIRITUAL WALK, DO NOT GROW BEYOND LEARNING.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, deliver me from every activity that drains my spiritual energy in Jesus name. Amen
