JESUS CREDITED MY LIFE
Main text: Romans 5:10- For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Matthew 20:28- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Jesus credited our life by his death on the cross of Calvary, for everybody has sinned against God (Romans 3:23), the entire world is guilty before God. But when a person understands that Jesus came to rescue sinners, He died in our place and receives Christ then his life is credited with eternal life. The righteousness of Jesus credited our life. We move from guilt before God to righteousness before God.
By his death, which is indeed the one and most true sacrifice offered for us, he purged, abolished and extinguished whatever guilt there was by which the principalities and powers lawfully detained us to pay the penalty. He offered sacrifice for our sin which separates us from God.
A song writer said “He paid a debt; He did not owe for us sinners who owed the debt and could not pay.” Man sinned against the Lord and was sold under sin; the only way we could be delivered was a ransom price to be paid for us. If Jesus didn’t come to our rescue, we would have been sinners trapped in the futility of our wasted lives and headed to a godless, Christ-less eternity. By crediting our life, He brought us back into proper relationship with God
JESUS DEATH ON THE CROSS CREDITED OUR LIFE
Prayer: Lord Jesus, set me free from spiritual debts and cause me to live a godly life in Christ Jesus. Amen
