DEPENDABLE GOD
Main text: Lamentation 3:22-23 – It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Deuteronomy 31:8 – And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail there, neither forsake thee: Fear not, neither be dismayed.
Dependency transcends to reliability, support, trust, succour and confidence. When you depend on a person, you simply entrust all to him.
Several patriarchs in the Bible were with disheartening situations but the Lord’s gracious arm was there as a banner. The God That Never Goes Down On His Word! He has appeared in various forms to meet various needs.
God has sworn to protect His own. How can He not, when we are firmly glued to Him? – Jn. 15:5.
The question now is Are You Firmly Fixed to the Vine?
If you are not and you are passing through bad times, turn back to God. Do not be unwise. Perhaps you have been attached but you are still surrounded with setbacks and challenges, remember “….God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13. Even in His tests, He still remains faithful. Hallelujah!!!
God is there as a refuge – Psalm 59:16
God is our sustainer – Psalm 55:22
God is our protector – 2Thessalonians 3:3
God is our provider – Matthew 6:30
THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM, TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH.
PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, help me trust and wholly depend on you as I steadfastly fix myself to The Vine. Amen.
