MIDWAY ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH 1
Main text: Romans 15:4- For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
Psalm 37:24- though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
Fear has a way of twisting logic. It’s the voice of fear that tells you that you can’t do it and that you’re not good enough, not strong enough. The voice that says you have failed too many times, so you better just give up now before you fail again. If you are feel tired, discouraged, disheartened, disappointed and you just want to stop Midway then take hold of the word of God and be encouraged, never to quit.
In life, there are moments that you feel like you can’t handle it anymore and you want to give up the good fight of faith. But what you do not know is that when you are down to nothing, God is up to something.
We live in a day where commitment is not valued in most spheres. Some people believe that “If things get too hard, you can always give up and if you’re not enjoying something, just find something else”. But we don’t have to follow the world’s views. God tells us in Romans 12:2, we should not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The only way that this can happen is saturating our mind with God’s word.
Is God ever okay with us quitting or giving up halfway? This is the question we ought to ask ourselves when we have the urge of stopping Midway. In Genesis 17:5, God promises that he will make Abraham the father of many nations. Abraham struggled believing this because he looked at things as they were. He and Sarah were past the years of child bearing. But even though Abraham at some point did not understand the promise of God, yet he didn’t give up half way. He continued to believe God and God blessed him.

PRAYER: O God, change my mind set to pursue excellence and desire what is best in life. Grant me your favour always in Jesus name
