GIVE AS YOU PRAY

MAIN TEXT – 2 Samuel 24:24 – And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will verily buy it of thee at a price. Neither will I offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah my God which cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

1 Samuel 1:24 – And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of meal, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of Jehovah in Shiloh: and the child was young.

Giving is a principle that activates divine abundance. Everyone has something to give to God or humanity. It could be your money, no matter how little or large it is, time, substance or intellect. Simon gave his ship to Jesus as pulpit to teach the people after toiling all night without a catch, his giving and obedience to Jesus, to launch into the deep after Jesus finished teaching the people resulted in Simon having a great catch of fish that his net began to break (abundance). King Solomon in 1Kings 3:3-4 gave God 1000 cows as sacrifice and in return God embarrassed him with abundant wisdom, wealth and splendor.

In 1Kings 17:10-16, the woman of Zarephat gave to the man of God, Elijah the little and last food she had. This giving of a handful of meal in the barrel and little oil in the cruse to the man of God made it to keep multiplying (abundance) till God sent rain to the earth. Givers never lack. Keep giving and you will keep receiving.

Also prayer is very important spiritual exercise you must embark on while pursuing your purpose in life. Prayer is said to be the driving force that makes us gain access to God’s plan for us and it helps us to enforce that plan to this world. Prayer will help you to defeat Satan the devil who will always work hard to frustrate God’s plan for you. Don’t be weary; pray in season and out of season. As you come to pray, come to give. The widow’s mite was not recognized by men but God was moved by what men could not see.

ALWAYS COME BEFORE GOD WITH A GIFT(S)

Prayer: I bless the seed in my hands, Oh God; let my seed bring extraordinary blessings to me in Jesus name.(Give God a sacrificial seed offering)
