BE BOLD AND STRONG
MAIN TEXT: JOSHUA 1:9 – Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
1 Corinthians 16:13 – Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Being bold is having courage and speaking out against what is wrong, no matter what others think or say. It is also doing God’s will and continuing on the path He put you on regardless of the challenges you face. When you are bold, you know that God is always on your side and there is never a reason to fear. You can say like Apostle Paul, ‘If God be for us who can be against us’.
The Lord told Joshua to be strong; God is still calling His chosen ones to be strong and bold. He is always calling us to do things we don’t believe we can accomplish, that is because without Him, we can’t. He calls us to do the impossible by our abilities but we must know that He simply demands that we step out in faith because He is the one that will accomplish those mighty tasks through us if we can obey. It is not in our place to think of the possibilities, the God that is sending us makes the impossible to be possible.
Don’t judge yourself by your strength. Look at those challenging situations through the abilities of God. In the book of Numbers 13, there were giants that lived in the land that God gave to the Israelites and people were chosen to spy the land. They looked at the situation and judged it by their own strength but Joshua and Caleb decided to see it through God’s strength – Numbers 13:30.
FACE YOUR GIANTS AND DO NOT RUN AWAY FROM THEM
