ADD WORK TO FAITH
MAIN TEXT: JAMES 2:26 – For as the body without the Spirit is dead; so faith without work is dead also.
Faith is our expression of unreserved confidence in the word of God. The Bible says that without faith, you can neither please nor receive from God; Hebrews 11:6 ‘And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him’.
It is faith that turns on the virtue for performance – Luke 1:45 ‘And blessed is she that believed; for there shall be a fulfillment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord’.
Brethren, from our scriptural text above; you discover why you have to work out your faith because God has released answers to every situation already waiting for you to tap from it. The woman with the issue of blood as recorded in the Holy Bible would not have received healing if she did not act on her faith by walking up to touch the garment of Jesus Christ. Luke 8:43-44.
Blind Bartimaeus would not have received his sight if he had not acted on his faith by shouting and calling out on Jesus Christ to restore his sight. Matthew 10:48-52. Child of God, add work to your faith and receive positive results. Sometimes, you have prayed enough that God is waiting for you at the place of your miracle but you are not there to receive it. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
