SAFE BUT NOT YET SAVED?
MAIN TEXT: Acts 4:12 –
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
John 5:24 – Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
God sent His Son to pay for our sins through his death on a cross while we were sinners who have done nothing for God. God freely gives grace to us out of His love for us.
Jesus Christ is our sacrifice of atonement or punishment. He died in our place and He died for our sins. God’s sacrifice of His Son was the avenue that pardoned and set us free.
The power to live as a Christian comes from the Holy Spirit. Christ died and rescued us from sin, we are free from sin’s control. God graciously gives us the power and understanding to live according to His will and live holy.
