OCCUPY TILL HE COMES
MAIN TEXT: Revelations 16:15
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who washes, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
Matthew 24:44 – “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Christ’s return should motivate us to work hard and give sacrificially for the work of God. We are called to serve Him willingly and obediently to whatever He calls us to do. Remember the great commission, (see Mathew 28:16-17). This is the heartbeat of Jesus. Also Luke 19:13; some translations says, “Do business till I come.” What then is Jesus’ business? His business is the great commission in Matthew 28: 19-20. We are to witness to those who do not know or follow Jesus. To lovingly warn them of the coming judgement and joyfully share God’s love and plan of salvation.
We should always be ready to witness for Jesus using every available strategy including our lifestyle and the word of testimony. Jesus’ intention is to keep us busy with the gifts He gave to everyone of us. Be committed and serve God with it to positively influence your generation.
The call to occupy till He comes is a responsibility which we cannot possibly escape. It is urgent and compulsory which we are going to give account to our Lord for how we fulfil this command. Our main text says, “…….I am coming as a thief” and inside text says,”…..The Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect”. What a tragedy it would be for our Master to meet us unprepared when He returns!
GOD DEMANDS AND EXPECTS EFFICIENT PRODUCTION!
PRAYER: Oh Lord, release the spirit of passion for your business upon me in Jesus’ Name. AMEN
