THE JOY OF SALVATION
MAIN TEXT:1PETER1:8
“And though you have not seen Him,you love Him,and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him,you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and fullofglory”
Psalm 16:11
“Thou wilt show me the path of life:in thy presence is fullness of joy:at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore”.
Christian joy is an inner communion and fellowship with God, brought about through faith in His Son
and made real by the presence of the Holy Spirit. A deep joy we never
experienced before fills our hearts once we become born again.It is a joyof everlasting freedom which comes upon us once the love of Jesus Christ touches us.
Nothing compares to the joy of salvation. Jesus liken,sit to a man who found a treasure in a field and for joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field(Mathew13:44). There is an element of this joy which passes the joy of beingwho have not sinned.The saved sinner has some forms of joy that the unfallen angels has not and cannot have.Single joyous hearted Christian is a priceless blessing in a family and society at large.
The Psalmist knew the importance of this joy, and what it meant to lose it, see Psalms 51:12. It is only sin that can rob us the blessed joy of salvation.
Therefore, child of God, guard your salvation jealously, if perhaps you have fallen short of the glory of God’s grace, make haste and come boldly to the throne of grace, God’s Mercy awaits you. Do not be over whelmed by the circumstances are under you.Satan is always a lie. Don’t believe him to give away your joy of salvation.
“RESTORE UNTO ME MY JOY OF SALVATION”
